How long will my car be advertised for across all
80 sites?
The advertising term for the 80 sites is one calendar month from the day of listing. Your car will remain
on wheretobuycarsfrom.com until it's listed as sold. In order to keep our website current with available
cars any vehicle advertised for more than 90 days with an unread message in the seller's inbox for a
period of more than 15 days will be removed. If the vehicle is still for sale you can request it to be
relisted free of charge.
See Terms and Conditions for more details.

If I order the Premium package and the inspection
reveals any faults can I show on my advert I have had them repaired?
Yes, login and select Your Home Page then View Current Adverts. Select the List changes since inspection
button and use the drop down menus to best describe the repairs you have made.
NOTE: You must provide receipts for any repairs in all cases.
Do I have to show my phone number or email address
on the advert?
NOTE: You must provide receipts for any repairs in all cases.
If you use our Premium or Standard package you will be given the option when ordering to include your
phone number on your advert. If you choose not to include your phone number buyers can still contact you
directly through your messages. We don't place your email address on the adverts to avoid spammers from
harvesting.
What are inclusive text alerts?
If you use our Premium or Standard advertising package and you include your mobile number when ordering
we will send you a text message (SMS) notifying you each time you are left a message in your online
message box from a buyer. Text alerts are also used if a buyer wishes to order an inspection for your car
if you used the Standard or Basic Packages. If a buyer requests an inspection for your car we will alert
you by text and in your messages. Only when you have confirmed permission by text or in your messages
will we notify the buyer to complete the inspection order.
What is Easy Order Inspection?
Standard and Basic Packages give you an option when ordering to include an easy order inspection button
on your advert. If you choose to have the button included potential buyers can order an inspection for
your car without having to contact you for your details. This helps increase your security and save you
time. Upon ordering an inspection we will alert you by text and email. Only when you have confirmed
permission by text alert or in your messages will we process the order. Our inspector will then contact
you to arrange a suitable time for the inspection to be carried out.
Is it mandatory to have the easy order inspection
button on my advert?
No, you are given the option when you order not to include the button.
I don't live in a region covered by your
inspection service can I still add an easy order inspection button?
Yes, when you order if your postcode does not match our service regions clicking the easy order
inspection button opens a page which will inform the buyer you were happy to allow an inspection however
you are not located in a service region. This procedure shows the buyer you are confident your vehicle
would pass an inspection and will help with your sale.
How do I find out what regions your inspection
service covers?
Does it cost me anything if a buyer uses the easy
order inspection?
No
If I order the Standard Package will my text
alerts decrease if an inspection is ordered?
No
Can I receive more than one inspection
request?
Only if the request is granted by you and then for some reason the buyer decides not to complete the
inspection order within 3 days. During the inspection ordering procedure the Easy Order Inspection button
will be removed from your advert and replaced by the message 'Inspection Pending'.
Is it necessary to allow more than one
inspection?
No. When an inspection has been completed and placed online for 3 days the report will become live and
available for purchase by other buyers until your vehicle is listed as sold.
What should I do if while waiting for an
inspection to be carried out and another buyer wants to purchase my car?
This is at your discretion. It would be only fair if a buyer has paid for an inspection for you to wait
until the inspection has been carried out and give that buyer chance to make a decision regarding
purchasing your car. It is to your advantage if you have two or more interested parties as you will be
able to take the best offer. If you decide to sell the car to another buyer before you have been
contacted by our engineer to book an appointment it is important to login and select Your Home Page then
View Current Adverts and list your car as sold and the inspection will be cancelled automatically. If an
appointment has been made you must notify the engineer by contacting them on the number they have
provided to cancel the appointment.
